NatWest Carbon Planner is a free digital tool available to all UK businesses. Carbon Planner supports businesses to become more sustainable and climate conscious, helping users to identify potential cost and carbon savings. Carbon Planner enables users to measure their carbon footprint by answering a few questions, get tailored and quantified actions, set targets and start building a plan to reduce their emissions. Carbon Planner supports users throughout their end-to-end climate journey with access to resources, products and services including Climate Consultancy.
The tool is available to customers and non-customers, enabling NatWest to help as many businesses as possible. Insights show that a top priority for businesses is energy usage and the associated rising costs. Carbon Planner is designed to meet this need, supporting businesses to make sustainable choices and evidencing the potential positive financial impacts from taking action, such as reducing energy and operating costs.
As previously noted, the NatWest Springboard to Sustainable Recovery report shows that SMEs could contribute up to 50% of UK 2030 emission targets through pursuing decarbonisation. Carbon Planner is the right support. It provides a total front-to-back digital decarbonisation solution for SMEs, giving them everything they need to decarbonise their businesses effectively and affordably. Available free of charge to NatWest customers and non-customers alike. There is no other free tool like this on the market. Over the past 12 months, NatWest has continued to develop the tool using feedback from users and continuous business research to give users more of what they need to guide them along their decarbonisation journey. NatWest would like the opportunity to be a part of the Digital Leaders ecosystem and the benefits that comes with this. We had the pleasure of being nominated for an award with Digital Leaders in 2023 and benefitted from engaging with other businesses on the night of the awards. Additionally, we would like the external recognition for the hard work the team, our partners and our users have put in to making the Carbon Planner tool what it is today.
Digital achievements over the past 12 months include first automation with Sage Earth, 12 new features; adding a new brand to the tool (Ulster Bank), making the tool more accessible to all users, FreeAgent integration; and adding more resources.
