Brief description:

Alessandra La Via started her career as a corporate accountant in the Big4 before moving to FTSE 250/FTSE 100 head offices. In her successful career, she came to experience first-hand the impact of the ‘always on’ culture on wellbeing. Alessandra founded Live More Offline to realise her ambitions for positive change through promoting healthier digital workplace cultures. She is a thought leader in the fields of digital wellbeing and culture.

Live More Offline is a leading consultancy and training provider for wellbeing in the digital workplace. Our mission is to help organisations to renegotiate their relationship with technology to enhance wellbeing, performance and belonging in digital workplaces. We bring our customers through a journey of organisational change that sees them transform counter-productive digital habits, such as presenteeism and the myth of multitasking, into smarter ways of working, stronger virtual connections and leadership that models best practice in the digital workplace.

Why entering?

Alessandra’s belief in the power of evidence-based consultancy and data-driven solutions has led to the rapid transformation of a Live More Offline into a disruptive tech company. Developed with funding from Innovate UK and launched in the summer of 2023, the Digital Culture Diagnostic™ has already transformed understanding of digital working and demographic needs at a social enterprise and a charity. Alessandra is passionate about Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity (DE&I) in workplaces. In addition to helping companies address DE&I challenges in digital working, she has spoken at the Tech Talent Charter about the importance of data-driven insights for visibility and positive intervention in working cultures.

Alessandra has a strong sense of community and pride in her Yorkshire roots. In recognition of her achievements, she was chosen by Bruntwood Scitech in 2022 to join their first Female Founders cohort at the Platform business incubator in Leeds. Live More Offline’s growth into a rising tech company for social good has seen Alessandra join the Exchange tech community at Leeds Dock and the Innovate UK’s Invest-Ability programme. This culminated with pre-seed funding from Ada Ventures, an angel investor devoted to funding extraordinary talent and breakthrough ideas for the greatest societal challenges.

Alessandra cares deeply about the mental health crisis and is convinced that tech has an important role in social change. She envisions a future where leaders are empowered by data and training to re-negotiate their team’s relationship with technology. A future where society enjoys greater wellbeing, performance, and belonging within digital workplaces.
